Tretinoin is a topical retinoid used in dermatology, notably for acne and photoageing. It speeds up cell renewal and refines skin texture. The 0.05% strength is the intermediate step: you usually move to it after several weeks at 0.025% without irritation.

• Makes the skin more sensitive to the sun: SPF 30 minimum every morning.
